THE TAILOR SHOP

Our industrial art space will be equiped with adjustable walls, sturdy working benches and art supplies.
THE DYE SHOP

The Dye Shop is our health and life admin consultation area. This figure covers the office needs including computers, desks and chairs.
THE YARD
$2,100
The yard is a space to enjoy the outdoors, our yard will have tables and chairs, a garden to work in and plenty of space for outdoor workshops.

COSTS AND GRANTS
Our Tier one budget will be approximately $11,700.
The grants listed below will provide us with around $360,000.
This money will cover:
- Our tier one costs
- A deposit on the loan we have taken out for the buying of our warehouse in Islington
- any other important fees that we are faced with in the beginning of the Patchworks journey.

FUNDING
For Patchworks to flourish we need funding. The following Grants and Funding Initiatives will allow us to bring our organisation to life.

THE MERCY FOUNDATION
Homelessness project Grant
The Mercy Foundation Grants to End Homelessness are available for seeding initiatives, services, projects, advocacy and research that will contribute to the goal of ending homelessness.
This grant has an average figure of $30,000

AUSTRALIAN COUNCIL OF THE ARTS
Art Project Grant
The Australian Council of the Arts has many grant opportunities for new arts projects. For organisation or group applications the Art Project grant can fund up to $20,000.

MY COMMUNITY PROJECT
Funded by NSW Government
$24.7 million is being put toward projects that help improve the wellbeing of people and communities.
The funding focuses on accessibility, health, revitalisation, safety and culture - all of these are important aspects of the Patchworks community.
We would receive $100,000

ARTS HUB
Grants for organisations
Focuses on career development of artists. This grant would go towards furnishing the art space and bringing in mentors and professionals to run workshops with our resident artists.Â
We could receive up to $20,000

ARTS HUB
Gordon Darling Visual Art grant
This grant is all about display of work and spreading art throughout communities.
This money would go toward holding exhibitions in our gallery space and also toward the needs of artists that will be showcasing their works.
Amount would be $10,000

COMMUNITY WELLBEING GRANT
Ian Potter
To improve circumstances for vulnerable members of the community, this program area supports organisations that seek to establish pathways for vulnerable individuals such as:
- creating employment pathways for people with disabilities or otherwise vulnerable individuals
- assisting individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness and all that goes with it.
In general, the recommended minimum grant amount for institutions and organisations is $100,000 and these are usually considered as multi-year grants.

HOMELESSNESS INNOVATION GRANT
The PwC Foundation
PwC’s Innovation Grant provides funding to Not For Profit organisations that are creating innovative solutions to the homelessness crisis in Australia.
The Innovation Grant is an investment of up to $80,000, and is designed to provide support, development and implementation for programs that are either delivering innovative solutions to homelessness or have the potential to do so.

CREATIVE PARTNERSHIPS AUSTRALIA
Plus1
Plus1 is a dollar-for-dollar matched fundraising program, designed to boost the fundraising efforts of small to medium not-for-profit arts organisations.
Depending on how much fundraising Patchworks can do, we are eligible to request up to $50,000 matched funding.

RISK ASSESSMENT
THE TAILOR SHOP
The tailor shop will be equipped with all kind of tools, heavy equipment and hazardous items. To ensure safety of the people in this space we ask our artists to wear enclosed shoes and aprons.
We also have a wet and dry vacuum to clean up any spillages or mess that could possibly create any hazard.
When using any concentrated liquids, gloves must be worn - these are provided by Patchworks.

THE HEALTH HUB
Our staff in the Health Hub will be required to complete a 'Working with Vulnerable People' course. Our aim is to be able to guide everyone in need through the admin of modern life and being able to communicate with all kinds of people is our top priority.

WORKSHOPS
Our workshops are run by experts of their designated areas who have been trained adequately to work with large groups of people. Our workshop spaces are all of varying sizes to be able to comfortably hold our guests.
